EPISODE 2
Lower Middle Market Trends: Independent Sponsors, Interest Rates, and a $10 Million Dollar Mop Company
Welcome to Beer Stories for Private Equity, Episode Two.
We were pleased to be joined by the funniest man in private credit, Joe Gaffigan, O2 Sponsor Finance’s President & Co-Founder (a division of Old Second National Bank). On this episode, they discuss Joe’s career as a financial entrepreneur, and the successful formula in the lower middle market cash flow lending start-ups. Scott and Joe also talk trends, like the rise of independent sponsors and the impact that interest rates have on deal flow for the lower middle market. We think you’ll especially enjoy hearing Joe’s beer story about a $10 million dollar mop company.
